Talented Youths to Be Selected for Ramadan Quran Sessions at Karbala Shrine

IQNA – Exams are being held to select elite and talented young people for participation in Quran recitation sessions at the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (AS) during the upcoming holy month of Ramadan.

Exams are being held to select elite and talented young people for participation in Quran recitation sessions at the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (AS) during Ramadan.

 

They are held by the Quranic Projects Unit of the Dar al-Quran center affiliated to the Astan (custodianship) of the holy shrine.

Quran students of the National Quran Recitation for Children take the exam.

Fallah Zullaif, head of the Quranic Projects Unit, said 125 young people have participated in these exams, and their level of recitation and memorization are evaluated according to precise criteria.

At the end, he said, a group of them are selected to participate in the Ramadan Quran recitation sessions at the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (AS) in Karbala, Iraq.

The tests are still ongoing to identify the best talents and select the most deserving participants, in order to hold a distinctive Khatm Quran event at the holy shrine during the holy month, he stated.

Khatm Quran refers to reading the Holy Quran from the beginning to the end.
